Tist One is a Los Angeles-based artist known for his vibrant and graffiti-inspired artworks. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Tist One immigrated to the United States with his mother after she survived an abusive relationship with his father. Raised in Los Angeles, Tist One found solace in art during his troubled early 20s, which led to a successful career as a streetwear designer in fashion for 15 years.

After closing his fashion business, Tist One applied to become a Los Angeles Police Department officer but was rejected. By chance, he met an art collector in an unexpected place, which launched his career as a visual artist. Tist One's works often feature typography mixed with cartoon-like characters in oil and acrylic on canvas. He also works with sculpture.

Tist One's art reflects his personal philosophy of seeking beauty in chaos. He draws inspiration from his Christian faith, particularly the Bible's stories, parables, and Jesus' rebukes of religious leaders. Through his art, Tist One aims to bring positivity and hope to his audience, especially those who are struggling with similar challenges. He currently resides and creates his art in Hollywood, California.
